Look to this page for photos of some of the cats that have been abandoned. Some of the cats are abandoned because they are due to have a liter. So, the kittens are born in this unfortunate circumstance.
The cat on the top right was found in the local park. He had fleas, ear mites, worms, a virus in his eyes and tested positive for FIV. He was starving and cold. He now has a home and all of his medical problems have been solved except for the FIV. But in a low stress environment he will do just fine. He is one of the sweetest cats you could find. He loves people and other cats.
The two little kittens below (one black and one grey) are sisters. They are about 8 weeks old and are both looking for a new home. They were rescued July 2016. The grey kitty has a long, fluffy coat. Update: Both went to a good home and they went together! Thank you, adoptive mom!
This little grey kitty is the brother to the two sisters above and the most recent to find a new, happy home!
This little medium-length hair black kitten is about 4 months old. He is very playful and has a sweet personality. He is the newest kitten who is waiting for a new home. Please contact us if you are interested. Update: this little black kitty has found his home. Both he and his new family are very happy!
One of the recently rescued females was pregnant, unknown to me at the time that I found her. She has given birth to two little kittens. One is black and the other is grey. Below is a picture of the grey kitten at 2 weeks old. It has just opened its eyes. I have not yet had an opportunity to examine them too much since they are so young. Soon, I will post additional photos along with an update and a little bit more information. Update: Both were adopted and have gone to a very happy home and they are staying together!!
This picture is of an older cat that has been living in the park for at least 5 years. He has been rescued and found to have pneumonia caused by lungworm. Additionally, he had intestinal parasites, an eye infection, fleas, ear mites and three fractured teeth. As if all of that wasn’t enough, he tested positive for FIV. He has been treated and currently he has been relieved of all his medical problems with the exception of the FIV, which he will have to live with. Fortunately, in a good environment he will enjoy a good life. Update: He is still looking for a family to adopt him, and doing well!
